iTunes Music Store Authorization - Need help with code

Hey! I was rooting around on these forums trying to get iTunes to authorize and I ended up at semethex's site. There's an article there about editing the IONetwork kext source to get this to work.

 

So I was wondering 1) if anyone has tried this?

2 if someone could help be get started editing the code. Where can I get the source code? (Semethex said it was availble through APSL (or something like that)) and what program do I need to edit it? Do I use textedit or do I need something like XCode?

 

The only programming I've ever done has been through VisualBasic so I may be a little out of my league but I'm willing to give it a try. Any help would be appreciated!
