lonerider7777 Posted March 21, 2007 Share Posted March 21, 2007 Hello All, I have a problem with some games, starting in an unsupported resolution, which causes my 1280x1024 flat panel to show "out of sync". Prey demo does it, and C&C Generals does it, COD2 works fine. I'm wondering what resolution they think they can start at (or what refresh rate). Oh and another thing, in my displays preferences panel, I have all sorts of resolutions and refresh rates shown as available, but they sure as heck aren't useable. They will just cause my screen to go black. Using an ATI 1800 w/ DVI out. Is there anyway to get rid of those extra resolutions that should not be there? Lactobacillus P Posted March 21, 2007 Share Posted March 21, 2007 Starting those games with the option key pressed (or Hackintosh equivalent) will give you a resolution selection window when you fire up the applications. Select the proper resolution and supported refresh-rate and you´re all set. You can also opt to run thoe games in a windowed version which might be a good thing for non 100% supported 9700 and 9600 Radeon cards that go nuts on full screen games or cannot switch resolution.
