chrisginger26
Hi Guys I'm new to this forum but I have been trying to install x86 for quite some time have tryed three diferent versions of the jas install disk and I always get the same result. The system satrts to load Darwin x86 Then a series of code streams down the screen and the bits that I can pick up are (as it runs through so fast) Loading Darwin 8.4.1 Debugger called (Double Panic) Back trace, format (4potential args on stack) frame return address the text flashes past to fast to watch or pick but the end result is root xnu-792.7.90object/release-i386 tue jan3 18:23:53pst2006 this happens everytime I try to boot into x86 I have tryed two different bootloader (chain0 and Acronis) and I get the same result. I am dal booting with xp mce 2005 I have partitioned the drive with xp then a fat32 (swap/common partition for moving file etc) then os x and I have also tryed it with xp then osx then another partition . the partitions are all primary as I am aware that the presents of an extended or logicl can cause problems. the only thing that makes any difference is if I disable CPUID Value Limit in the bios then it boots to the white apple with spinning logo and then on to the blue aqua screen and stops there (never gets to loading mac os) I asumme that disabling CPUID Value Limit gets rid of the code and produces the nice apple glossy front but goes to the same place as before. My system specs are as below taken from cpuz. Any help would be great as I would love to boot into Tiger. CPU Pentium 4 Prescot 531 (LGA 775) with Hyper threading.
