kirby4life0
I am new to these forums, but I'll try to be as brief as possible. The specs of my Aspire 5100 AMD Turion 64x2 Mobile (1.66 GHz) Radeon x1100 (Up to 256MB shared, 128 on board). 120GB Harddrive 1GB DDR2 RAM Now my question is, if I make a partition for the installation, how would I go about making the partition bootable and how would I go about making a boot loader for OSX and WinXP? Thank You for your time. Ignacio. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/45554-installing-osx86-in-an-aspire-5100-laptop/ Share on other sites
kirby4life0
UPDATE: I have installed it on a primary partition and it seems to coexist just fine with Windows XP. However I cannot boot MacOSX86 because I get a kernel panic whenever I try to boot (both in regular and safe boot modes). I have also tried running it from VMware, and it won't panic, but it'll hang at both safe and normal boots. This is really odd since I was able to at least run OSX86 through VMware, and it'll boot everyonce in a blue moon after trying for an extended period of time. Anyone have any ideas as to what might be going on or what I might need.
