I am looking for someone to help me get 10.4.x up and running on my Sony x505. This is a relatively uncommon model and I couldn't find info on whether or not this will even work.

I contacted one forum member who has an x505 and they ran into difficulties.

If you are an experienced OSx86'er and you think you can make this happen please contact me so we can talk about terms.

I have included specs on the x505 below.

Thanks!

How are you going to INSTALL it with no DVDROM drive? Do you have an external USB one or something?

I have a bootable FireWire/iLink CD/DVD drive, yes.

There are posts from others on here who have done it succesffully except for the wireless card and sound.
