wendos99
Hi, i have been trying to install windows (through boot camp) for a number of days now and i have been coming across the same problem, time after time. I am currently up to step three "starting the windows xp installation," stage. I am using a "microsoft windows xp Home edition including service pack 2," cd, (the one that is advised in the guide). But keep coming across the same problem everytime i insert it and then try to press the start installation button. It says "no installer cd found, Insert your Windows XP CD and wait a few seconds for the disc to be recognized." So i insert it and wait a few seconds, "not found" so i try again, eject and re insert, and still no luck, etc, etc.. even though the desktop shows it as being named, wxpsp2home, ( i also can look at the various files in it aswell).I have also tried a different version of windows, "xp media centre version 2005 with update rollup 2," which is an earlier addition of windows to the one i tried. So i can be sure that it isnt the cds, as they arent scratched. I would appreciate it hugely if anyone could help me out on why i am experiencing this problem, and how i could fix/overcome this. cheers Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/45119-no-installer-cd-was-found-help-needed/ Share on other sites
