Dhruwat Posted March 12, 2007 Share Posted March 12, 2007 I have an Intel Machine on which I tried to install 10.4.7. It hasn't worked for me till now. When I first tried to install it, I got the kernel panic "No Smoking" Symbol on the the Grew Apple after a 1-2 minutes. Then I tried installing it with -v option after pressing F8 while the install CD was booting up and it stalled with "Still waiting for root device" Message. Can anyone suggest how I make it work? laborman Posted March 12, 2007 Share Posted March 12, 2007 (edited) Yours HDD and DVD must pluget in SATA controler due to Parel ATA Marvel is not recognizet by OSX. When you plug all drivers to SATA controler then in BIOS swith SATA drvie from IDE to AHCI. Restart and boot from DVD. If you don't have SATA DVD buy adapter ATA to SATA! I have 965LT MoBo and OSX 10.4.8 working on this metod. Sorry for my english.
