lolzok
Hello, I know there are many topics about this, but I haven't really found a solution for my prob. I have downloaded the JaS version for AMD and Intel processors. The problem is, that everytime I boot from the cd, it just stops at the grey screen with the apple. That thing doesn't stop spinning, but there is a kind of little stop sign over the top of the apple. I cannot press the F8 key at any time to bring down the menu where I can write -v. This happens when i try to install mac os. It isn't the cd, cause it works fine on my Dell Dimension 4600. I'va got a HP Pavillion dv5026 dv, with 2GHz, 1GB of ram and a 60 GB of harddisk. Hope anyone can help me. Thx lolzok Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/44964-freezing-at-boot-screen/ Share on other sites

Bluetrax
im not an expert, but I came across this error by having multiple hard drives plugged in. I disconnected 2 SATA drives, and my IDE drive with windows, then i booted using another IDE DRIVE but USB. I was able to get the dvd to boot, and install onto the USB drive, but when it restarts...boots from drive...the grey apple screen freezes.
