ricosuave
Hi all. I love this forum. This is my first post. Does anyone know of a way to connect digital sound to a HD tv input? Or a particular tv with optical or digital sound imput? I just put together my first hackintosh and am enjoying crystal clear sound through my optical output on my "mac" connected to my denon receiver in my den. I am planning to put another one together for the bedroom and would like to hear the front row as clear as my setup downstairs. I do not plan setting up a home theater speaker system in my bedroom, just front row without any static comming from the headset jack of the mother board. Any suggestions would be apreciated. My gear: Mac Pro 2 x 2 ghz, 2 gigs ram, 4 x 500 sata. Hackintosh P4 2.33, P mother board w/optical, 1 gig ram, 100 gig ide, apple mouse, twisted melon ir receiver. macgirl
Not all the cards on Mac OS X86 could have Digital Output, You shoud try setting the output mode with the Audio MIDI Setup app on the Utilities Folder. My card doesn't show the Digital Outputs on Mac OS, but my other USB Sound Card does, it has only coaxial though, but it passes the signal flawlessly.
