Hello. I have a Dell minilan 1390, or called Broadcom 4311. I have my 4311 in the System/Library/Extensions/IO80211Family.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleAirPortBrcm4311.kext/Contents/info.plist

by default. However, i do not have a /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkInterfaces.plist and i am really confused. I have no wireless icon on my bar at the top, and the minilan chip light is off. I have searched for hours and have gotten nothing. It's a compaq v5000 and running 10.4.8

Thanks for your help/

Freaky, sorry to say, but that was a tutorial and it's one that didn't work for me :/. It seems like everyone is getting a lot of their hardware to work right away. The only things that worked for was Display (but not 1280*800), cd drive, mouse. and keyboard. is this odd? I couldn't get ethernet to work through what seemed tro be a reliable resource either :/
