Mutenroy
I have a P4 3.0GHz, 2Gb RAM and ATI Radeon x1300 256Mb RAM. I've installed Mac OS X 10.4.8 JAS and everything works fine, but ffmpegx runs too slow. It takes 10-12 hours to convert an AVI file to MPEG2 and 2-3 hours more to author it (mux with subtitles in srt). Is that ok? I think it's too much time. In windows I made the entire process in 3 hours, not almost 15 hours. For graphic card I only applied the patch for QE and CI but I have not installed drivers from ATI. Are they necessary? If this is normal, can you recomend me another software for converting to MPEG2 and authoring? I don't want nothing too professional like DVD Author Pro or Final Cut. Mutenroy
Borisbadenov patch and yes, I've used mpeg2enc because the other option is slower. Are you saying 1 hour to encode a movie in mpeg2?
