royco
Hi just finished downloading "JaS.10.4.8.Intel.S SE3 RE-RELEASE:REPACKA GE Mac OS X86" . Tried boot it in VMware server as an ISO and it just reboots itself after 5 lines when I enter the -v( I checked again, its after the line that says starting darwin/x86). I made a copy on the dvd and booted off my Dell 400SC (Intel P4 2.8 HT) and does the same, reboots continously after the 5th line of the verbose install. Im a total noob with this OSx86 thing. What am I doing wrong? Thanks Royco Edited March 8, 2007 by royco Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/44580-osx86-dvd-continously-rebooting/ Share on other sites
royco
Im now testing in VMware using ISo and DVD and both reboots after the starting darwin line. If I leave it alone to continue itself it spits out this error line System config file '/com.apple.boot.plist' not found Anybody? pathofkarma
i had that problem on my hp dv2000 laptop when i was using JAS 10.4.7 . never solved it. however, when i used an older 10.4.3 install on the laptop, the installer screen did come on (however i wasnt able to recognize the sata hard drive so, oh well). I think the problem may be the speed at which you burnt the dvd, or even how you uncompressed it. I am currently trying to get x86 on a P4 with an intel d845ebt motherboard. hope it works in conclusion, try getting a reliable copy that you know works, test out the dvd on another computer to see if it will even get to the installer screen. if same error of .boot.plist whatever keeps happening, im sure its the dvd Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/44580-osx86-dvd-continously-rebooting/#findComment-319181 Share on other sites
