After install just hangs

I just freshly installed using JaS.Mac.OS.X.10.4.8.AMD.Intel.SSE2.SSE3.PPF.1.Defiant.diskutil.biker880.ich7-R.patch.Integrated

... here's the breakdown.. during the installation i could not choose custom, it seemed like it automatically went to it, i selected the AMD packet and NOT the intel, i made sure of that.. i deselected titan and most of the common hardware supports because I had none of them, (this isn't the first time installing it, i've also tried with installing titan and all of the common hardware with the same result)... when I try to boot in normal mode it gets to the apple logo screen with the spinning wheel, it will spin for a few seconds and then stop, nothing happens... if i try to boot in -x safe mode it gets to that screen but instead of the wheel stop spinning it just goes to an all white blank screen... if i boot in -v mode it lists a million things and the last line is: "Localhost /System/Library/Coreservices/loginwindow.app/Contents/MacOS/Loginwindow: Login window application started"

 

and then it starts playing a song... i've left it at that for 20 minutes and nothing happens.. once the song is over it still sits there at that last line...

I'm having a similar problem, I used the JAS 10.4.6 (10.4.4 with the 10.4.6 upgrade) and installed. I also installed Acronis OS Selector. Acronis says that the OS is unkonwn but I click boot anyway. I get to a black screen with a flashing white dash and my hard drive indicater light staying on solid. I waited 20 minutes but nothing happened. This is my second install attempt. P4 2.4Ghz, ASRock P4VM800 socket 478, VIA Chipset P4M800, Nvidia 6200 256 MB AGP, 512mb RAM, 160 GB WD Caviar SE. ANy ideas on how to fix this?
