tracerbullet
Hi Guys, First, apologies if this has been answered, I've spent the last hour searching/scouring forums and the net trying to find a resolution to this issue with no avail. I've got XP and OS X installed without any issues (partitioning is all fine, dual boot works without a hitch) but while booting into OS X, it hangs up on the grey splash screen. When booting with -v, I get the following flooding my screen over and over (apologies if it's not dead on, its really hard to read when it's scrolling 10+ lines a second) AppleUSBASCI: unable to initialize VIM AppleUSBASCI: unable to initialize VIM Launched: /system/library/coreservices/loginwindow.app/Contents/MacOS/loginwindow port /dev/console exited abnormally: Illegal Instruction. The "Launched..." line spams across my screen continually until I hardboot my laptop. Here's my specs: OS X 10.4.6 JaS Intel Pentium M 750 1.86 Ghz 80 GIG Enhanced IDE (ATA-6) 512 Megs of DDR2 RAM Nvidia 6200 GO with 64 Megs of DDR Video RAM (PCI-E) I am going to try installing with OSX 10.4.8 to see if that maybe makes a difference. Any and all help is more than appreciated, thanks in advance. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/44454-error-on-1046-load/ Share on other sites
