sourgrapes Posted November 14, 2005 Share Posted November 14, 2005 Hey guys, new here...I tried this How-To: http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?showtopic=2868 and it worked as far as the QE goes and the resolution too. But I had to reinstall because I tried playing a game I had and it crashed and brought the whole graphics down with it (screen became pixelated). Now my resolution is at 1280 but no QE or CG. I changed the device ID in all the kext files to 2562 (I have an 845G). I did do the chmod and chown commands. Should I have changed the ID only in the 830 and Integrated Graphics kext files? If so, do I have to change the ID only under the 830 key in the 830 kext file and leave the 915 key alone? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance. PS: I am modifying the kext files after installing the update and I am not using vmware. Mac is installed in a different hard drive and dual boots with XP. I used the Generic install DVD.
