ronikondo
Hi I have downloaded a torrent Jas 10.4.8 AMD Intel SSE2. SSE3 and have tried to install it. It didn’t work. I got a message. Waiting for kernel or waiting for root. What should I do? My computer is an Acer laptop. Celeron processor 1.5 GHz. 1GB of memory. XoDeus
You forgot to customize your installation. Before choosing the installation components screen press Customize. Then choose the kernel for your CPU, GPU and other hardware... ronikondo
Hi Thank you, but I don’t know how to customize the installation. In the boot process I was given few seconds to hit the f8 button. After doing so I pressed -v. It started to run few lines then stopped. It wrote "waiting for a root device". I don’t know what to do. This is the fourth or fifth torrent that I'm trying with no luck. It took me a weak to obtain it. Any advices? Thank you. ronikondo
In the installation process it writes: Extension "com.apple.driver.appleACPIThermal" has no kernel dependency". "still waiting for a root device" Please tell me what to do… Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/44296-jas-1048-amd-intel-sse2-sse3/#findComment-316991 Share on other sites

Forgott3n
I got this on one of my old computers. My guess is that, somehow, it doesn't like your hardware and refuses to boot. Sorry kiddo.
