Hervé_
Hi there, I am a new Mac user so forgive me if I ask stupid questions (I have looked for answers in the forums though and I still have a problem so here is my question). I have installed Vista RTM on my mini, using bootcamp, downloaded today from apple's website. I have created a 32 GB NTFS partition for Vista, the install went fine but when I wanted to go back to OS X, I realized the Option key didn't lead me to the boot menu. I had to boot on the OS X CD to get the boot menu and there I have been able to choose OS X. But now, the Option key is still uneffective at boot so I cannot easily go back to Vista... I guess I can do it again using the CD boot method but I wanted to know if there was a simpler method.. I read things about people deleting the EFI partition but I don't understand why they do that. Thanks in advance, Hervé PS : one thing worth noting : I am not using an apple keyboard but a Sun keyboard, so I assume the Option key is equivalent to Alt, as on a PC keyboard. Hervé_
OK, I have found a solution : rEFIt which installs a dual boot menu lauched by the mac when you start it. From there you can choose between OS X (default) and Vista (and other OS like Linux). http://refit.sourceforge.net/ Hope this helps, Hervé Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/44251-vista-on-mac-mini-how-can-one-easily-switch-between-vista-and-mac-os-x/#findComment-316603 Share on other sites
