Soündless Posted March 4, 2007 Share Posted March 4, 2007 sorry if this is the wrong place to put this, and if i am totally confuzed about what i am talking about. i have seen pictures of people on the internet who where running a darwin os on their computers. i saw ftlbaby, a member with two posts, and he said he had it running and it was basically a stripped down version of osx. he also said it would be very hard to find. so... where can i find it. i tried the opensource apple page, and all i got was http://www.opensource.apple.com/projects/d...nx86-602.iso.gz (you need an apple id to view). asap18 Posted March 4, 2007 Share Posted March 4, 2007 yes on x86 and PPC, it will be just like any other bsd distro, you will need to install KDE, Gnome, XFCE, Fluxbox ..., so don't expect to get a familiar desktop to your mac. asap18 Posted March 4, 2007 Share Posted March 4, 2007 Does it give an error, or just skips booting totally, make sure your bios is setup to boot off the cd, otherwise you might have a corrupt cd.
