guice Posted March 4, 2007 Share Posted March 4, 2007 Both Xcode and Eclipse access projects on an NFS mounted drive /extremely/ slow, but yet I can totally hit individual files with acceptiable speeds. Why are projects so bloody slow? Is there a way I can sizably speed it up? guice Posted March 4, 2007 Author Share Posted March 4, 2007 Nix this now. I've found the solution. OSX was setting my NICs as half-duplex because I had them on a hub. I switched to a switch and insured OSX recognized and flipped to full-duplex, 100TX which it did. Now accessing the NFS drive is MUCH faster and works with no problems in Xcode and Eclipse.
