Hello to everyone.

I have managed to install JaS both 10.4.7 & 10.4.8 w/ ppf1 on my machine. Every SW I have installed works perfectly, and the only trouble I have is related to surfing.

After installing Adobe Flash Player 9.0.x, I have solved problems related to Safari crashing. Completely. I will remove the Contextual Items to solve the problem with right mouse click. But...

I have installed ISDN serial modem (I use 3Com 64k ISDN driver from Apple list, therefore there is no other driver for modem installed, but the ISDN NT is not 3Com), and it works. From time to time, I get hardware overflow in system.log which I monitor all the time. But I can't find the reason for freezing the machine while surfing.

As far as I know, I can't use any other modem, and for the time being, I don't have any other choice for internet - NO xDSL, WiFi or any other type of internet connection.

Also, I have installed Little Snitch and I constantly monitor ipfw.log and all I see is connection refused with details regarding the TCP/IP address and port.

Here is my configuration:

Pentium D 805 @ 2.66 GHz

Gigabyte GA-945GM S2 with GMA950 and RTL8111B

1 GB DDR2 RAM

2× WD 250GB SATA2 3.5" HDD

Fujitsu 60GB SATA2 2.5" HDD

Pioneer DVR07XLB PATA

Samsung DVD-ROM PATA

Logitech PS/2 keyboard

Microsoft Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse (in one USB port)

Does anyone have any clue for this problem?

I must notice that on the previus board (Gigabyte GA8I865GME-775-RH) I have had slightly different problem - I had to restart the computer because the grey screen with the power switch appeared and asked me to restart the computer. And I didn't have and QE/QC support because the graphic card was not supported.

I am very grateful to anyone who helps me solving this problem.

Also, I am already very grateful to all the people who really are working hard to make this beautiful, secure and stable system working not just for themselves, but for the rest of us. THANKS GUYS!

Kind regards. To all...

New moments in this...

I have been foolish enough that after 12 years of working with computers and double checking every install CD I use, not to check the installation CD that came with my ISDN network terminator. I was lucky enough to find (very late last night) modem installation scripts for USB interface of my unit.

After installing, every problem has been solved, and internet surfing is from now on fully working on.

So, I just want to saay that now I have fully working Mac. Thanks guys, for the rest of the trouble that I had (read ALC883 and Realtek 8111B - which is working but no network browsing).

Best of luck to you all.
