soloredd
Ok, my first stab at using OSX. I got the generic 10.4.1 install DVD and successfully got it installed natively to an empty HD (easiest way I figured). This generic DVD has the SSE3 patch, however, I have an SSE CPU (Athlon64). What is the best way to remove this patch, if any? iTunes opens fine but my audio isn't working (I have onboard ALC850). I've read that iTunes won't open if SSE3 isn't available. Other than that, everything is fine. miranda363
if its the Generic Patched DVD you just select SSE3 when you install and everything should work ok. You could apply one of the maxxuss patches 0.5c and use the options for SSE3 anyway. iTunes will run SSE2 because its patched to allow it.
