Jimbwlah
Hi, I'm having problems installing on my p5b allendale system, I have 10.4.8 JaS AMD-Intel-SSE2-SSE3 with PPF1 and my system spec is as follows - Asus P5B Motherboard Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 1GB RAM Seagate Barracude 7200.9 SATA 300 HDD 80GB I have spent the last few days on these forums reading as much as I can and have had no luck getting this working on this system. I am installing this off of a USB External DVD-ROM and I have formatted the disk using DISKPART in Windows using "create partition primary id=af", the current changes I have tried to get this working are - (both of these are after USB CD reports "failed to initialize UIM" and both are on ICHR8) Enable AHCI on SATA for HDD AppleHDA.kext failed to load: unable to located 'layout-id' propely Apple USBEHCI[0x24d2800]::found a transatcion which hasn't moved in 5 seconds on bus 250, timing out! then - "still waiting for root device" repeated Disable AHCI on SATA for HDD AppleHDA.kext failed to load: unable to located 'layout-id' propely "still waiting for root device" JMicron Controller (w/AHCI w/ SATA HDD) Apple GenericPCATADriver: CMD 0x1f0, CTR 0x4f4, IRQ 14 Apple VIA ATADriver: VIA 8237 SATA * i've taken out the USB CD ROM reports but says "failed to initialize UIM" on 4th message * in6_fattach:failed to attach a link local address JMicron Controller (w/AHCI w/ IDE HDD & SATA HDD) Apple GenericPCATADriver: CMD 0x1f0, CTR 0x4f4, IRQ 14 Apple VIA ATADriver: VIA 8237 SATA * i've taken out the USB CD ROM reports but says "failed to initialize UIM" on 4th message * in6_fattach:failed to attach a link local address IOATA Device Blocking Bus IOATA Device Blocking Bus IOATA Device Blocking Bus * So to me it looks like the JMircon controller is the only one having drivers installed, is trying to pick up the HDD but comes up with this link local adress. I've tried a lot of combinations, can anyone possible shed any light on this?
