First imagine that I’m a stupid blonde. (Which is not so far from the true …)

I install 10.4.8. I went through every step. Everything went perfect. And when I saw the apple logo after the installation reboot I was … hurray! Not for long though. That is all that I see from the MacOs. The Apple logo and waiting symbol, that stops after few seconds.

I just want a clue. I just don’t know from where I should start.

Thanks in advance.

Try booting with the -v option. For some reason this is the only way I can get my machine to boot. I experience the exact issue you do when I don't use -v.

Hope this helps

Thank you for the instant respond.

The problem is that when I pres F8 I get the ‘choice device to boot from’ sort of message. And I have my CD, HDD and Floppy listed. I think that this msg don’t have anything with the MacOs. Probably is from my bios. I think that I always miss the time to hit the F8 button … :)

I’ll keep trying.

When you installed, did you choose 'customize' from the menu? If so, did you ONLY check the SSE3 option (not SSE2 & SSE3)?

As I wrote I’m a bit blond. So, I read about the ‘customize’ option during install, but honestly I didn’t find where it is. So I thought I can skip that step.

But I’m ready to try installing it again and again till I’ll make it happen! :D

it wont work without customize, i learned the hard way. i had to reinstall. the customize button should be in the lower left corner of the screen right before the installation

Thank you all guys. You’re the best!

I’ll try to install it later on and I’ll write you the result.

The –v, -x, -s option didn’t work for me.

The plan B - ‘customize’ didn’t work too. Why? Cause I don’t have ‘customize’ button. No, believe me. I don’t have customize button. I saw a snapshots of installation with customize button. And I don’t have that one.

I’m still trying though. If I find a solution, I’ll write.

Thank you anyway.
