Lagos Posted February 26, 2007 Share Posted February 26, 2007 Hi... i use the 10.4.8jas, i had the authenticate function working well all the day but i just notice that when i try to replace/delete system files it says my password din't work :S the strange thing is that i can do the same things using a terminal and sudo -s or sudo su and the password works well :S i'm pretty new to mac and i don't know how to fix this, if someone have an idea thanks... hecker Posted February 26, 2007 Share Posted February 26, 2007 Ah, I see. So you first tried to copy the files via Finder and it failed? Normally you have to be logged in as root to be able to modify kext files and system files.
