IBoook G4 Startup Woes

I am a total amateur when it comes to Unix!!!

 

My IBook G4 crashed I believe due to lack of disk space. I was in the midst of making a home movie. On reboot all I now get is the Darwin login prompt. I have managed to figure out how to login with my username and password but cannot get beyond that.

 

I would like to access the hard drive to delete a large file or two but have no clue as to commands in unix etc. I also cannot find my startup DVDs regrettably.

 

Would really like some help to get past this.
