fuzzyland
Hello, i have a problem with no lan connection after 10.4.8 installation from JaS.10.4.8.AMD.Intel.SSE2.SSE3.v1p.and.Deviant.patch.iso Everything works except onboard lan. I have a mobo Asus P5GD1-VM. Onboard lan works when i install from older iso file (i don't remember which one exactly). Is there any patch to fix it? thestevo
Well, after a quick look, I don't see that anybody else has had this problem. My suggestion would be to try using kexts from older installations. My guess would be that the installation your referring to is around 10.4.5 - 10.4.6 You have two options: Install a working version on some machine, and copy off the kexts you're going to need. Or, look on the internet and there is a good chance that you can find older versions. High probability is that it will work when you find the working kext. However, since 10.4.8 is on a new kernel there is the possibility that it will no longer work. Good luck, Stephen Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/43349-no-lan-connection-after-1048-installation/#findComment-309962 Share on other sites

drpain2006
Had the same problem when I updated from 4.1 to 4.8. Identify your onboard lan card and get the kext for it. Also refer you to the turorials on this forum and have a look at the ethernet solutions. dp Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/43349-no-lan-connection-after-1048-installation/#findComment-310222 Share on other sites

RonW
Intel D865PERL mobo w/ onboard 82562 LAN chip set and JaS 10.4.8 and this kext worked perfectly. I just cp it to the dir /System/Library/Extensions folder, sudo rm -rf the /System/Library/Extensions.*, then diskutil repairPermissions /, then reboot and BAM good to go. thanks so much Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/43349-no-lan-connection-after-1048-installation/#findComment-327018 Share on other sites
