Ryanux
Hi, i just bought a Macbook Pro C2D 2.16ghz, with 2gb of ram. Beautiful machine, everything is ok, nothing special about that. The only problem, is that even with 2gb, istat pro (a widget showing stats like CPU and RAM use) is displaying "ram free" of only some megabytes (something between 80 and 20mb) after some hours of use, and even with all apps closed. i'm running apps like Safari, Is Mac OS X as hungry as that or is istat pro going crazy? Elrithranduil
To find out if I stat nano isnt crazy try apples activity monitor in the utilities folder. See if the ram displays the same amount of usage. You also must realize that in Istat nano on my macbook it shows a lot of red inactive ram usage. That is almost free ram and remember that Istat nano is a widget and when you open the dashboard your macbook uses more ram.
