kanavulator Posted February 23, 2007 Share Posted February 23, 2007 I'm running a JaS 10.4.7 + Vista + XP Setup (through Acronis OS Selector, it works fine) This is on my HP Pavilion ZV6000 (AMD64 3500+, Xpress 200m) and the installation only took about 25 min regardless of the notorious nature of the 200m hardware. For some reason, pkg files will load but then beachball (stop responding). I was recommended in #OSx86 to use Pacifist, and this works for some packages but I believe it might be part of why JaS SSE2 10.4.8 Combo Update with Semthex SSE2 Beta9 Kernel is giving me a kernel panic (involving IOPCCardFamily among other things). Firstly, are there any solutions to the problem about installer packages not working (other than Pacifist)? Second, is the update I mentioned obsolete or should I still install it? How can I do it successfully? I know that successful installations of 10.4.8 have been done on this laptop and I'd really like to be able to do it too.
