It like install windows xp on 1. Ghz, ram 128, hdd ATA100 5400rpm, M/b ECS, vga sis6326 8mb PCI. It can do everything just fine, you can watch video, surf internet, listen to music with about 2 Hr battery life. Installation (Dual boot with windows xp) 1. Boot with windows xp boot cd and partition it to 2 partitions as primary. 2. Usually Windows xp give you a primary partition if not you should partition it by yourself with other software. 3. Install windows xp in 2nd partition. 4. Install Mac Os x 10.4.8 (jas sse2 sse3 amd Intel iso) in 1st partition with Mac os extended format.(use Disk utility) 5. Proceed to package selection step and select essential package and amd support (i also select language support with japanese korean and thai) 6. Proceed to next step and let it reboot. In my case it took almost 2 hr to complete. After this step I got dual os computer without any modification. If I want to use windows xp I only press any key when it ask me to press and select partition that I install windows xp. 7. Install Sound driver with AzaliaAudio.pkg high sc 8. install lan driver according to http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...35380&st=0 9.Install wi-fi driver according to http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...c=8522&st=0 and install driver package Wireless.Support.pkg (I try it both simultaneously so I don't know which one is works) I try many method to before, I try 10.4.5 and everything ok except sound. However it not stable and work slowly. So I decided to install 10.4.8 hope that it will support my hardware. First time that I try 10.4.8 without any modification with every packages except printer driver and language support. But I got kernel panic and it ask me to reset. So I install again wit only essential package some language support, some additional device support (Gmaxxx, Natit etc. ) and AMD support. This time No ask for reboot but it took too long to boot up and I can't wait . I try install again with only essential package and AMD support. It boot successfully, I can configure for first time but I found that my computer has no Airport, no internet connection, no sound, my graphic card can't configure , only usb and cdrom are work fine. So I try to install again with NATIT and ATI support but I can't boot up, so I install again with option that I got Iwork before. After that I try to install with many modification that I read. And finally I got it work . Somethings at I wait for and try to fix is 1. My Ethernet always give me a wrong IP start with 162. ... when set to DHCP. But when configure it manually it couldn't connect to other computer( I set it's ip to my router's subnet and in can't even ping my router. I try with many driver and many modification. 2. My computer's sound only heard from speaker, when plug in headphone it didn't switch off speaker and use head phone instead. I even can't heard sound from headphone when plugin. I try to fix it with many driver. but it didn't work . Anyway, I hope this will help you guys especially newbies and again, apologized for Any Question ask me on MSN Messenger Or e-mail to winai_tip@hotmail.com. But I think It useless because I'm also a newbie to mac.
