The. Mad. Doc.
I installed just fine using the JaS 10.4.8 AMD Intel SSe2 SSe3 v2 beta. and it boots but stops here.(localhost mDNSResponder : Couldn't read user-specified Computer Name; using default.... localhost mDNSResponder : Couldn't read user-specified local host name; using default... localhost mDNSResponder : Adding browse domain local.) It does this then says No airport driver found. Load the login window application starter, and then does the localhost mDNSResponder again and stops. I installed Natit(which I don't believe has anything to do with this crash, but I could be wrong.) X11 and the AMD thing, and additional fonts. I don't know what's wrong, can anybody help me? System Specs AMD Sempron SSe3 blah blah blah... nVidia GeForce 6100 a little less than 400 mb memory.(391...actually 512 but windows only reports 391.) So...does anyone have a solution or should I try another install, like with the login window package installed? Or...should I give up on this project all together? Dice7
Sorry man, Same issue and I think it might be with airport cause if you look at the logs that other people put up, they all have something to do with airport right after the mDNSResponder: Adding browse... I really need help with this as well but I dont think anyone knows I hope someone does Dice ::Update:: I dont know if this works but I know that I installed the updates after I set my account up, so now I am going to do a reinstall and try to see if it works without doing updates PS.
