BuXb
Like said before in another thread I could not get my 8.8.1 kernel sys (which boots fine natively) to boot in VMWare (latest version), but the 8.4.1 kernel install (both 10.4.8) would. Installed the latest gem JaS.10.4.8.AMD.Intel.SSE2.SSE3.v1p.and.Deviant.patch.iso, and look-a-there, it boots up all the way! The problem is, after that the install does not boot up natively anymore. So I boot from another volume and run Disk Utility. That fails saying that there is a File Thread Mismatch in the Catalog File (B-Tree) and can't even remount the volume (HFS+ journaled). However, TechTool Pro 4.5.1 can recover the volume, but says that some files might have gotten lost. Catalog File (B-Tree) <Failed. File Thread Mismatch. (-92)> Does anyone have any clue what this is about? Any hint's regarding HD accessing kexts I could exchange to keep VMWare from messing with my HFS filesystem?
