grav
I have a Nokia 6233 with a MicroSD card in it. The phone supports the USB mass storage-mode. I have bought a USB cable for it, since I want to be able to transfer files to and from the phone. However, I have read-only access to the card on both my Macs (running 10.4.8). On Windows and even Ubuntu Linux I have both read and write access. I have tried reformatting the card (both as FAT12 and FAT16) without any luck and I've tried two different cards. If I use the card with a card reader, there is no problem. The phone has the newest firmware. Any other suggestions? sandmanfvrga
I have that same issue, when I put a SD card in, it is read only. USB drives, they are fine. sandmanfvrga
I use an SD reader, and when I read the SD cards from the cameras, read only. Any help? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/43120-disk-is-read-only/#findComment-314914 Share on other sites
drmr
Sorry for digging up this thread but I'm surprised:) Does anybody know why under Mac OS my Nokia 6230i SD card is not visible? It is under Windows and Linux, but not under Mac OS. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/43120-disk-is-read-only/#findComment-715257 Share on other sites
Ongeloof
It could be due to the fact that its a phone... you could move file to the phone and then move the to the SD card from your phone. drmr
It could be due to the fact that its a phone...you could move file to the phone and then move the to the SD card from your phone. TM It is either bad behaving phone in respect to USB specification or badly written USB drivers in Mac OS. But it is a fact, that Mac OS doesn't see Nokia 6230i (and I saw complains for some other models) as USB drive, while Windows and Linux doesn't have such problems.
