macphreak4evr Posted February 21, 2007 Share Posted February 21, 2007 (edited) Hardware tested: HP workstation X1100 CPU = P4 2ghz Mem= PC2100 DDR 1Gig (4x 256 chips) Graphics card - ATI Fireblade GL 128m ram Sound - AC97 integrated on MB Network card(s)= Intel Pro 10/100 + 3COM 3c905b-tx HDD = Seagate 40g IDE DVDR = HP DVDWriter DVD200i Built with the JAS 10.4.6 iso, all works fine. took 3 installs to get nic working on custom. the 10.4.8 will not work on this machine, installs but no nic, sound or dvd write functions. after 3rd install of 10.4.6 worked fine. problems: initial B0 error (easily fixed) nuked HD with windows NT resource kit util "DELPART" and a fdisk/mbr for a clean wipe, created FAT32 Partition , booted DVD, nuked Fat32 and used OSX disk util to create Non Journalized partition. as every time I used Journalized it did not run well. all sound, speech, video, and networking functions are normal. I love it! Stay tuned for more hardware tests.
