Hi, I installed osx using JaS.10.4.8.AMD.Intel.SSE2.SSE3.iso , everything went good, im using a samsung r40 laptop(sse3,core duo, pata hardisk), but at the first boot i got "Unable to find driver for this latform:ACPI" please restart blabla nothing works like -x,platform=ACPI x86pc and so on. But the strange thing is, if I boot the JaS DvD and use that darwin bootloader i can start my installed osx with mach_kernel rd=disk0s4" without problems, so it uses the mach_kernel from the dvd, but the mach_kernel on the dvd and from my installed osx are the same *strange* so i dont understand why it works using the dvd.

another question, osx shows me at "about" osx 10.4.7 but how is that possible the dvd should be 10.4.8 like the name ? uname -r gives me 8.8.1 Nov 27

thanks, (sry for poor english)

i reinstalled osx with the patched JaS iso, now osx is booting but it freezes at the grey apple screen, it shows only: Login Window Application Started, and freezed. Some ideas ? I tried the 10.4.4 Login Window Package from the Jas Dvd, i tried to change the networking kext files, i can only enter in single mode but "-x,platform etc" does not work :/, booting from the JaS DvD of course works like before :thumbsup_anim:
