meatwad64
I have figured out a problem and I thought I would describe it in case someone else has the same problem. Everything runs much slower than normal and I couldn't figure out why. I have pinpointed it to being slow when my external hard drive is turned on and connected to my usb port. If I turn off the hard drive but leave it connected to the usb the machine is still slow. However, if I also disconnect it from the USB than OSX is smooth and fast like normal. My machine is an nforce 3 board and i'm guessing there is some incompatibility with the usb ports. Anyone else seen this ? joe75
I have a small usb hdd that I use to swap stuff around with and I haven't had any slow downs or problems. You should check your bios and see if your usb setting are correct.
