adriandkicks
If your install is freezeing at some point or you are having random crashes during the Vista installation on a 965P-S3 (and possibly other boards too) then try this. This has worked on all problematic boards I have tested. 1) On the main menu of the BIOS enter the "Integrated Peripherals" menu. 2) Set SATA Port0-3 native mode to disabled 3) Make sure onboard SATA/IDE device is set to enabled. 4) Set onboard SATA/IDE Ctrl mode to "ACHI" 5) Connect your HDD to the Purple ports. After Install however I switched the drive back to the yellow ports and it worked fine. This has been tested on F7 and F8 Bioses and should work on all other Bios versions too on the 965P-S3. A newer bios release may fix this bug later on.
