I have a Dell Inspiron 6400 and i had a working dual boot system: WinXP and MacOS X 10.4.4

now i tried to install 10.4.6, 10.4.7 and 10.4.8 ... and it didn't work out as planned...

with 10.4.4 everything worked flawlessly...the darwin bootloader worked, i also had the chain0 method with WinXP working...

and now when i installed any of the newer version, if i put the mac partition active, it just says hfs+ partition error, if i put the winXP partition as active and try to load os X from there...in just kicks back to os select screen ... can somebody help me in advising what to do from here...

thanks in advance

the hiren's boot cd method with extensible fdisk worked...

but now i have another problem...my dmg's won't mount...neither will anything on usb...the usb mounting works if i connect my usb device to the computer and restart mac os x...but the dmg files won't work...

okay...i reinstalled my system, and now everything is working...installed with the 10.4.7 install dvd, then updated via 10.4.8 jas intel amd sse2 sse3 + v1p ppf patch + defiant ppf patch...and now everything works...by everything i mean, the things i regularly use :D
