Only diffrent i can find is that my sound not working in safemode so have i missed somthing? I wondering cus my Jas 10.4.8 only boots perfectly in -x mode and in -v i get error like bluescreen. localhost /system/library/coreservices/loginwindow.app/contents/mac/loginwindow: Login window application start. erbic Posted February 18, 2007 Share Posted February 18, 2007 Safe Boot disables LoginItems as well as most of the Kernel Extensions(drivers). It's not something you want to be booting in regularly, as it provides pretty reduced functionality. Seems like your system is hanging on trying to load the LoginWindow. I'm not entirely sure what would be causing that. That's the same monitor I have. I manage to install 10.4.7 without a problem and latest macvidia som now its working for a while i guess.
