Joentje
Now, let me ask you this. While running the installer, you get to choose some options. You MUST either choose JaS AMD or JaS Intel. Don't choose both. If you just clicked next, you didn't select one of them, and then your installation f*cks up. psp005
i knew about that so i ONLY chose INTEL. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/42774-urgent-help-needed/#findComment-305831 Share on other sites
Joentje
Hmmm, oke, let me think. Did you select the driver package? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/42774-urgent-help-needed/#findComment-305832 Share on other sites
psp005
Did you select the driver package? Driver Package? what do you mean? do you mean the video driver package? X11? AMD INTEL package? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/42774-urgent-help-needed/#findComment-305833 Share on other sites
Joentje
No, no, when I installed it, there was an additional package from JaS, which contaned drivers for some various hardware, and included, (as I try to remember), drivers for Nvidia/ATi. So, if you could install that, maybe it will work. My installation screwed up. But, that could be as my video card (NVidia Vanta) sucks, and it is not officially supported. psp005
Right there was the option for Nvidia/ATi, and i did not select any of them because on the forums everyone was saying that there were lots of problems and such. after it installed i had the grey apple logo and screen but noting was hapening. now there is notingness, not even system bios when you first turn the laptop on. i would reinstall if it was for my laptop now not working. Joentje
Yes, there are a lot of problems with it. But, your installation is running smooth right now you are saying *joking*? If I were in the same position, I'd give it a try. And, check your PM box, as it contains my MSN, so we can talk easier. Joentje
Ok, this guys BIOS screwed up. His monitor won't give a signal. Not even the BIOS screen. I tried to walk him through it. First, I told him to boot into safe mode. He told me that wouldn't work, as he doesn't see anything. So, i said reboot, and then poweroff. Then, when he turned it on, still a black screen. So, we tried some other things, like enabling an external monitor via VGA, but wouldn't work as well. He has a Cyberpower notebook, with an American Megatrends BIOS. Maybe one of you does have a clue to reset the BIOS? Anyway, I told him to phone the Cyberbios, as he has still warranty.... The situation he got is really f*cked. Maybe you guys can help him tomorrow (he went to bed)...
