I do receive this error during the boot

post-67966-1171783833_thumb.jpg

panic(cpu 1 caller 0x001A3129): Unresolved kernel trap (CPU 1, Type 14=page fault), ...

and probably the problem is the network card, isn't it?

Kernel loadable modules in backtrace (with dependencies):

com.apple.driver.AppleIntel8254XEtnernet(1.1.4a5)@0x3c01d000

dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOPCIFamily(2.1)@0x359ca000

dependency: com.apple.iokit.IONetworkingFamily(1.5.1)@0x3bf3e000

Is there any way to fix this problem? Or is there any way to disable the network card, do you think it might be a solution?

My system configuration is;

Acer TravelMate 8215WLMi

Core 2 Duo T7200 2Ghz

2 Gbyte FSB 667 RAM

Ati Mobile X1600 Graphics Card

Thank you...

Do these lines mean I do not have these files?

if not, what do they mean?

Thanks...

Does anybody think that deleting kext files would help just to boot without freezing?

And if so, how can I delet the kext files?

I can see the HD partition from my windows and I can read and write the Mac files from Windows via MacDrive.

Thanks..

Thank you for your reply.

As far as I understand there is no way to delete the kext files just to make it boot up? Or I should not do that it causes more problems?

I am a bit new and not familiar with how to do things which might be quite easy for others...

I am not sure where to look for the kernels you mentioned and even though I could find them I have no idea what to do with them.

I will be glad if you can explain a bit more that I can follow.

Regards

I have seen in some topics people are mentioning deleting the kext files but there is not much information. I moved the mentioned files to another folder in my MacOS partition and tried to boot again, but this time it says it can not find those kext files and stops continuing to boot.

Does that mean I will have to delete those file names as well from a file (I am not sure if there is such a file) which is telling the system what to load at startup?

I will be glad if someone can enlighten me on this issue.

Thanks

  • 5 months later...

I was having the same problem with an Toshiba Satellite P105, but, belive it or not the solution is quite easy

This folliwing line means: (I Belive)

com.apple.driver.AppleIntel8254XEtnernet(1.1.4a5)@0x3c01d000

that there's a problem with your distribution intel integrated ethernet driver.

Simple as is, just disable the ethernet from your bios, and you will be more than done (at least I did!)

Good luck! and post if it worked for you
