hecker
Which OS is your friend using?? hecker If it's any of the windows, you may trying booting into safe mode (press F8 before windows loads) and log in as a system administrator (password is disabled by default). From there you can reset your friends user password. If your friend already set the admin passwd, then you need to boot from a disc an reset it. But first I need to know what OS you are using. ordinarychild
More or less what hecker said although depending on how he installed XP (assuming) he may have set the admin password - I know I always do. But yeah, if he hasn't - what hecker said, with extra detailed help from from the much maligned and very helpful MS KB: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/321305 And if your friend did set *and* forget his admin password, you can use this guys boot disk: http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/ It's not too complicated so long as you follow directions. Work for all NT versions. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/42709-forget-password-computer-how/#findComment-305482 Share on other sites
