mainsail
Please help: Just applied the security update among the two others available from today (Feb.-15-2007). After reboot, System hangs at blue screen with spinning wheel! What can I do to either remove those updates or make them work? System is AMD Athlon XP64 / 3400, ATI Chipset, NVidia 6200 Please help! frizbot
Reinstall your OS X86 system and don't use Apple updates. Also, don't post the thread multiple times. Lets not flame mainsail for that since it could have been accidental. mainsail
Well, thanks for your suggestion. However, a fresh install is not an option for me. Also, I may not be the only unlucky who did this mistake... mainsail
Just came back home and applied the patch - everything fine! Thanks a lot for your fast support! The only thing that made it a bit difficult was, that I wasn't able to get the patcher along with the patchfile to my (osx) harddisk. At least not the way I tried it in the first instance. I thought I just could use my 1GB USB Flashdrive, plug it in and mount it. Wrong... This leads to another question: How can I mount FAT32 formatted drives either in the single user mode or within the terminal/telnet when booting with the install dvd. Neither mount -t fat32 ... nor diskutil mount ... worked. Seems there is no fat32 support? Anyway, I was able to apply an IP address to my ethernet port and then transfered the two files using ftp. So thanks!
