UPDATE:

It seems the file LCA.app is responsible for it, it is the last file the installer attempts to load before shutting down. It then states

syncing all disks...killing all processes
Done
CPU halted

I have the OSX installer running through VMware fine up until a point where the installer has loaded a blue screen and a cursor, then the virtual machine shuts itself down. Any help would be much appreciated.

on boot. press f8 (more option to install) write -v an enter.

Verbose mode, can you tell what is wrong...

same problem here. the problem is after booting into the blue installscreen and after select the install language. after clicking ok the above error occures.

i use 10.4.8 jas (configured as drive and as iso, makes no difference).

is there an solution?

PS: sorry for my bad english

@Manix

Find a solution for me. It seems the prolem is a bug in JAS 1.4.8 install DVD (bug with Intel GMA 900). I used the JAS 1.4.8.7 DVD with -x -v.

Configured harddrive in VM as physical disk (my second harddrive). I would like to do a native install, but i can´t install nativ (not with 10.4.8 and not with 10.4.7). Somewhere i read i should try to install it in vm and use a physical harddrive in vm to get it work after install nativ.

Did somebody do a nativ install of OSX 10.4.7 or 10.4.8 on a Asus P5B-VM DO (Q965 Chipset, onboard Intel GMA 900 + Jmicron (disabled the jmicron cause i read about problems with it during install)???

At first step of installation runs.

Upate:

The installation runs fine. BUT after reboot i only get the apple logo and after a while it seems the loading the os stops. there is no activity on harddrive. after that i tryed to boot with -x -v here is a screenshot.

Could someone please help me?
