sashabe
I'm now trying to install 10.4.8 by JaS on my system (Asus P5B-E, bios v 0706, Core 2 Duo E6300, 2 GB Ram), placed it on the same HD as WinXp (3 partitions made by Acronis Director Suite, 1st - Xp, 2nd - for OSX (FAT32), 3rd - for docs). The bios was not overclocked/ touched in any way. As i reach the moment of installation when you need to erase the prepared partition as Mac OS Extended Journaled, Disk utility thinks a bit and then i get the message "could not read partition map". Why??? ( I've searched the forum for such a case but found nothing... There were talks about Jmicron controller which may prevent the installation from acting normally, so i disabled it in bios, but nothing changed. Any help would be gratefully appreciated) PS i'm desperate a bit because on the previous system was lucky enough to install it, all components ran perfectly, except the celeron who couln't stand sse3 instructions so the performance was awfully slow.) sashabe
The problem has been solved by switching in Disk Director a mac partition type into ShagOS Swap (AF). Now I have a bunch of another problems...
