vek
I successfully installed OSX using the JaS 10.4.6 and then upgraded using the combo updater to 10.4.8. My Onboard NIC worked off the bat, but today, it has suddenly stopped operating correctly. The green and yellow lights flash, but OSX does not detect the card anymore. I do not believe this is an OSX problem, because it stopped functioning in Ubuntu as well. I purchased a Netgear FA311v2 today and installed it. Neither OSX nor Ubuntu can detect this for some reason. The card is listed in the wiki as compatible. The green light is active on this NIC as well, but nothing. I've switched it into every available PCI slot, nothing. I've also tried disabling the onboard NIC in bios in conjunction with each PCI slot. Nothing. Am I missing something here? Why would this happen and is there any hope for my previously fully functional machine? Any help is most appreciated :-) vek By the way, for those wondering about my setup (was completely compatible with JaS 10.4.6, except for this odd problem later) it's an Sony Vaio PCVRS422 Desktop.
