andycroll
I'm trying to create the smallest and leanest version of XP2 to get as much performance in games as I can on my iMac C2D 20". I'm using nLite to strip out a lot of crud (based on some instructions that some enterprising sorts used to build the TinyXP series last year + some trial and error) and I've got it to a pretty small install with an unattended install taking only 15 minutes in Bootcamp (as opposed to the half hour it took before). However I can't get the bloody driver CD to install, it bails and rollsback with a 1600-and-something error. Has anyone had this problem? Or does anyone have an nLite ini file they could share? I've posted my ini file here as an attachment, maybe you can compare it to yours? asap18
Why don't you just slipstream the drivers into the xp cd you made? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/42350-creating-a-mactinyxp-using-nlite/#findComment-302733 Share on other sites
U.C.
You can simply slipstream the Mac drivers with TinyXP. Also I have had bad experiences with nLite Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/42350-creating-a-mactinyxp-using-nlite/#findComment-302977 Share on other sites
andycroll
Should probably mentioned that I tried that, however it didn't work so well (ending in a crashing install!) asap18
you can try extracting the cd (google for "extracting bootcamp drivers" and install the ones you need manually.
