anyone know how to fix this? my monitor is able to do 75hz, it is a LG1710B 17" LCD, mac resolution of 1280x1024. i cant go passed 60hz in the properties, is there a way to force osx to let me use 1280x1024 @ 75hz refresh rate? this 60hz refresh rate is killing me!

my specs are in my signature. any help is appreciated. Thanks!

i have the latest jas installed, 10.4.8 with the latest kernel, 8.1, and i am using the 1.0 natit drivers. as for trying the graphics mode command. im not sure how to try it or where to enter it. this is my first time using this on my pc.

Natit and Titan should detect your display and you should have your max res and refresh rate.

At boot hold F8, at prompt type: "Graphics Mode"="1280x1024x32@75"

In /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist add the line : Graphics Mode

1280x1024x32@75

You could try out NVidiaEFI from MacVidia which should also detect your display

yeah, it detects everything properly.. it just doesnt do 75hz. 1024x768 does 85hz, 1280x1024 only has an option for 60hz unfortunately. i will give what you said a try, if it doesnt work, i guess im stuck a 60. thanks for the feedback!

While your at MacVidia, check DisplayUtility. It is early in development but is what will be a display checker in the future, it may help, you have to test. Try the boot command and edit your boot plist, good luck

well.. i tried the graphics mode command andit did not change anything or really do anything.

at the boot: prompt i type Graphics Mode=1280x1024x32@75 and hit enter. this is how it look on the screen exactly

boot: Graphics Mode=1280x1024x32@75

i hit enter, it boots up and its still at 60hz. i checked in the system profiler and 60hz. am i entering the command wrong?

also, i had one other thing that is weird happening. when i go to the apple and click on " about this mac ", it doesnt bring up the window.. it actually logs me out and logs me back in. anyone else seen that before?
