Jace Taylor
I recently finished up my Tri-boot System with XP-Pro OSX and Suse ... I have been combing the message boards for over a week now and still am unable to get my Broadcom Wireless Card Working when it should be the most simple of any card. I edi the Info.plist to reflect my device ID and do all other appropriate steps, the IO80211Family.Kext never loads and when i attempt to load it using the kextload Command i got superclass incompatibility errors. "13RSNSupplicant is not compatible with its superclass, 80S0bject Superclass changed? link/load error etc.. When i attempt to load just the AppleAirPortBrcm4311.kext i get 10AirportPCI is not compatible with its Superclass 20IOEthernetController superclass changed? link load error etc.. i have tried taking an unmodified kext and loading it and get the same thing. I Am Running 10.4.1 Deadmoo Image and also lack ethernet support on my Broadcom 5901 (170D) although i am mainly just concerned with the wireless right now, i have dont all the troubleshooting i can think of with no background in Programming..... i also attempted to load the AppleAirport2 Kext which resulted in a CPU architecture mismatch error.. any advice would be greatly appreciated as i am sure i'm not the only that could be facing such a problem. Jace Taylor
Gave up on making this work and Installed the 10.4.7 JAS with patches, wireless works perfect after that and a modification to the networkinterfaces.plist however the 5901 internal nic is still non functional.
