Got things pretty well tweaked and up except for one small problem: First of all, under system profiler, says "No Built-in Audio Device". However, audio works! But it cuts out ever couple seconds, seems to be related to drive access, then keeps playing. Just a minor momentary hiccup. Also the Mic seems to work, but does not actually record anything useable. Any suggestions? I believe i have AC97 audio. Jas 10.4.8 DVD install. Thanks! kevinosx Posted February 13, 2007 Share Posted February 13, 2007 I would recommend a couple of things, Identify the exact soundcard and chipset you can do so in windows devicemanager under the ac97 properties it will say something like dev_2039_id_33939_driv_ It wont say anything like that but will be in a similar format. Then from that you can google to see exactly what audio chipset you have. Then make sure you have the right patch for yours. If none of that works, it's always good to try a kernel update or switch.
