Use acronis to partition and set partition type to fat 16, so the mac install dvd can read it, then format the partition in disk utility so the drive is usable. It will autoselect HFS+, make sure you select journaled. You want to set the partition type to: af if you use diskpart. You can also use Partition Magic but that isn't free . munky Posted February 13, 2007 Share Posted February 13, 2007 You need a primary partition on a hard disk using Master Boot Record partitioning, which is what Windows uses. Dont try to use a Volume on a Windows Dynamic Disk or a Logical or Extended partition, these wont work. Primary partition only. MBR only. HTH.
